Chicken dish frozen after 1.5 days - chuck it?

I made 10mo DS a chicken dish, portioned and in fridge immediately intending to freeze it and then forgot about it until a day and a half later. I put it straight into the freezer when i remembered but I take it I should really throw it away?

I'd say it'll be fine. Chicken dishes are safe in the fridge for a few days. But I wouldn't blame you for being more cautious with food for your baby.

Cooked chicken would be kept in a professional kitchen in a fridge for up to 3 days and score top on hygiene so I think it would be fine - normal defrost thoroughly and ensure piping hot when reheating rules though.

Thanks for the replies. Rationally I know its probably OK but he is pfb so its still in freezer limbo. Grin

I would be totally fine with this (and more!). And I'm generally quite cautious.
