Meal ideas for one year old??

My dd is just one and I'm totally stuck for what to make for her. I've done more spoon feeding that baby led weaning but she's getting too old for that now and doesn't like baby style food so much now. I worry that if I let her feed her self for every meal she won't actually eat enough.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Why are you worried that she won't eat enough Country? Smile

Just give her whatever you're having (as long as it's not takeaway every night!). Cut it up so she can pick or spoon it up herself. If she's hungry she'll eat.

I struggle with this myself but things like macaroni and broccoli and carrots cubes with a little cheese sauce

Sweet potato and vegetables mashed (I don't know what seasonings so usually a little gravy)

Beef stew, shepards pie.

The self feeding- I waited until 18 months For messy foods and it's going well

Whatever you are having, or had the night before! Favourites of my just 1 yr old DS are lasagne, pasta with pesto, pasta bolognese, salmon with pesto, burgers (get any minced meat And shape into patties or meatballs and cook - add anything you like eg pork with apricot cut up is nice). Roasts are easy with various veg, risotto, stir fries with noodles, chicken in any shape seems to go down well. I would be surprised if they didn't eat enough - remember they are tiny still really!
