Hv phoned this morning after finding out about our trip to a+e to find out what had gone on.
During the call she asked how weaning was going, i thought here we go, but no, told her he only ate finger food, end what he had been eating, she said 'well he is doing very well' and that 'babies had to eat before blitzers were invented, so its got to be better'.

We hear so many bad stories that i thought i should share a good one

my HV is a gem..... i lurve her....she is beyond reproach.... my DD is crap at eating, crap at drinking enough milk, is 15 months and won't walk and is a lazy little diva....HV knows this and smiles fondly at her....and tells me not to bring her in to be weighed!!!

rather than when i had DS and old HV , who incidentally missed my PND

lulu, that is appalling. (although as a scot i take it a little personally that the measure of depression is called the edinburgh test...)

mine's good too! she's all for blw. and she prescribed some decent stuff for dd's eczema when the doctor would only give us crappy skin irritating aqueous cream.

hydromol. she was shocked the gp gave us aqueous cream, asked which doctor it was and said she'd have words! i hadn't actually gone and got the aqueous cream, i know it contains skin irritants, but the doctor said we HAD to start with that before he'd give us anything else.

my current HV is a diamond!!! i think i may keep her prisoner until babylulu is 18, so no-one else can have her!!
