DD2 is 8 months old. We started BLW at 26 weeks. It is not going well. She hasn't yet put anything to her mouth herself. She just picks up food and drops it. This week I started some spoon feeding. She has had an allergic reaction to everything that has touched her face. Everything. Beef, tomato, porridge, peas, mashed potato, banana, strawberry...

DD1 has a serious allergy to peanuts. It is not that bad. DD2 is just getting hives on her face and hand. We have a GP appt tomorrow.

Any advice?

Sorry I have no real advice but I think ds2 will be in a similar boat allergy wise. With ds 1 I did a mix of spoon and blw. Even now (nearly 3) I feed him runny food like soup as he finds it hard and is really lazy when it comes to good so gives up too quickly. Good luck at the Gp I am waiting for our allergy appointment so anxious about starting weaning. X

The GP thinks CMPI. So, eliminate cow's milk and introduce one purée at a time old school style.

Success! Pear purée eaten and no reaction.
