First of all I am in no way associated to the website but my HV told me about it and I think it's great so thought I'd share it with you all. I know it's not baby led weaning but I like to do a mix as we've been advised to start weaning a bit early! Hope some of you find it interesting and helpful

Thank you for sharing this! There's some really good toddler recipes that I think could be used for baby-led weaning.

Glad you like it! I think some of the puree recipes can be used just don't puree them if that makes sense so you can use the combos of foods and spices without actually pureeing them. So far DD has devoured everything I've tried from it!

Ooooh - didn't look at the purées as DC are 12 mo ths and 25 months. Will check

I must say - your HV is very enlightened. Mine referred me to a cow & gate website Grin

Fair enough. My 3yr old is currently 'sharing' the babies roasted blueberry and cinnamon puree, he's dipping other fruit in!

Yes I do seem to have got quite lucky with her I must say

Thanks for sharing.

For example I never thought to use coconut milk in pre 6mo pureea

duzzlightyearsmum · 24/02/2015 12:55

I love that she uses coconut milk as DD is CMPI so we can't use dairy anyway so makes it easier than having to substitute or constantly express

duzzlightyears exactly. Mine isn't allergic but only 23wk. I don't want to introduce dairy until 26wk. I no longer have my steraliser from my first. The HV recommended water but it's lower in calories than breastmilk. (And opening a carton seems so wasteful when only using 1 tbsp a day)! I've been just using baby rice with inbuilt formula to get around it. But with coconut milk, which I already use for dinners, I can use my homemade purees instead. It's a revelation really.
