Does anybody know any ideas for very bland finger foods?
ds is 6 month and due to reflux we have just been advised by gp to only give bland food like baby rice untill a complications has been investgated.
The thing is he has taken very well to blw and anything and everything put in front of him, magno, banana, avacordo, pineapple, sweet potato, carrots cheese toast and more that i cant rememer. He will try and eat anything we eat, and has to be given food at the table or will cry. What can i give him?

Lucky you that he likes eating, it makes everything so much easier!
How about dairylea or marmite spread on fingers of bread, scrambled egg( actually check the age they can have that..),houmus, pitta bread fingers.

sounds like you need hub2dee's porridge pancakes ...

littlepiggie · 23/10/2006 12:27

Cant even have things like that, prob porrage, but not sure about the rest.
can baby rice be turned into finger food

MrsBadger · 23/10/2006 12:32

I bet you could make a baby rice pancake - rice pudding isn't that far from porridge, is it? [strokes chin thoughtfully]

I'd say potato, sweet potato, banana and avocado were all 'bland'...

i wonder if you could make little rice pudding patties and fry them up? bread and butter? plain polenta with no cheese in it? would agree with mrs badger also. try the porridge pancakes, though, they really are fantastic. are green beans and peas bland enough?

Chopped up pasta?

AlfredAitchcock · 23/10/2006 14:17

i'd have thought chicken is bland too. and pork.
