Hi
My DS1 is now 28 weeks old, and I started weaning at 20 weeks. He has always been and still is breast fed. He is 98% on weight chart and has been from birth. Since weaning he has stayed on the curve and is healthy and well. But since weaning he vomits (before when just on breat mik only ever did tiny possets). Now its huge amounts but not projectile (but forceful emough to not be possetting if you see what I mean). Caught some in a series of scoop bibs few days ago and it was 3/4 pint . Mostly it happens within half hour of a meal, and is preceded by smelly burp. Can happen up to two hours after meal though and once he starts is iften then sick again if give more food or breatfeed. Tried to relate it to food type and only link I can work out is that cows milk definitely makes him sick (HV told me off for not giving it him on his cereal, I had been using formula - only did it once and had buckets of sick all day). Yoghurt and jar food containing milk seems to make it worse too. But he seems OK with butter and cheese and vomiting isnt a lactose intolerance symptom anyway. Nappies are fine. I am very confused!
Have just started trying to cut out the formula all together and mix cereal etc with water and fruit instead. Any ideas gratefully received. Not keen on talkiing to HV as they always seem to make me angry
