Isn't all first weaning vegetarian anyway?

DD didn't have meat until she was past 1, though she did have fish. Among soft early weaning foods she loved (and still loves) avocado, tofu, roasted aubergine, mushrooms cooked in butter, butter by itself Hmm, omelette style eggs, all fruits...

What do you eat? unless spicy or salty, just plop it on her plate Smile

Personally I wouldn't bother weaning a baby using a recipe book. If you want baby to eat your home cooked meals, wean them on to your food. Establish a healthy palette in your baby by mostly avoiding processed foods/sweet foods. Offer variety and be adventurous from the word go. Let the child eat as little or as much as they like without fuss. We have four non-fussy eaters doing this.

My children really liked porridge fingers. Porridge oats with a little milk then microwave 2 mins & cut into fingers like flapjacks. Very soft but can pick them up

Whatever you're having. Easy on the salt.

Easy snacks - avocado/cucumber slices, grated cheese/carrot.

What soups and stews do you make yourself? Baby could self feed herself these mushed

We gave our babies part of every meal we made and aged one they were all eating mild curry, lasagne, stir fries and so on.

breakfasts ideas - omelette, porridge, Greek yogurt, oatabix

Some really good ideas there.
I just wasn't sure if some foods were too much
I eat a lot of beans & pulses like lentils as well as different grains.
Love the porridge finger idea and could make with BM I guess?

Try cheesy lentil wedges. I can't link as I'm on the phone but if you google it its on the BLW website.
