tinned salmon and tuna?

Hello,

DS is 7 MO. We live overseas and I'd be worried to use the fish here with my LO, due to questionable freshness/hygiene. I can buy tinned salmon and tinned tuna and I am wondering if it is ok to give LO? I guess it should not be in brine? Is in sunflower oil ok? They don't seem to have the ones in spring water here. I have a tin of John West Wild Pacific Pink salmon right in front of me, and it actually doesn't say what the salmon is being stored in but on the ingredients says 99% pink salmon, salt. Is this ok to give to me LO - cooked with veggies etc?

Thanks :)

Yes, it's fine to give from time to time. As you say, just avoid the ones tinned in brine and stick to the ones in oil (or spring water if you can get it in future).
