what to give for tea

Hi, baby is 7 months and well under way with solids particularly at lunch time. She has chicken/fish and veg. type meals. But for tea, we're still doing baby rice and puree. This is partly due to the time it takes to cook and freeze meals and partly because 3 days a week she's at nursery and there's little time to organize tea when we get in. I'd like some ideas for simple to prepare tea, not too much protein as she gets this in her lunch.
Thanks
Dawnx

Mashed or sliced banana?
Rusk soaked in milk?
Packet fruit-flavoured cereal?
Dare I say it, Petit Filous?
Even more dare I say it, a jar - one of the desserty varieties maybe?

If lo is eating finger foods you could cook veg, potato wedges, put it in the fridge then put it in the microwave when you want them.
You could give whatever you have for tea as finger foods or if lo is already in bed give what you had the day before.
