Tinned fruit in juice?

Would it be OK for a 7 mo? I know fresh is better but just thought it might save time for making purees / recipes if I had ready skinned and stoned fruit. Obviously I wouldn't get the tins in syrup.

I'd say Ok - it normally has ingredients on the side -they often say fruit & juice only

I also buy fridge fruit - which I think is good too

i keep 'Frutapura' tubs in cupboard for emergencies.
Ready pureed fruit + juice, no added crap(just a bit of vit C)

Yes I like the Frutapura, just thought I could vary the range of fruit if I went for tins too.

Hope so, because ds has lots of tinned fruit (in fruit juice) and has done for ages.

SoupDragon · 13/10/2006 11:16

I'd say its OK occasionally but personally wouldn't want to use them often.

I used to use tinned fruit with DS2 and DD as I found it easier to mash, generally pears peaches and apricots.
