Timings/when to give solids?

We are going to start weaning after Christmas. DD will e 6 months old, and up till now has been EBF on demand. She feeds roughly every 3 hours during the day, but timings vary.
When do I give solids? Before a feed? After a feed? Settle for solids then keep demand feeding around it?
We're going to start with breakfast as she is always most reliably awake and happy at the same sort of time in the mornings.

Settle = same time. Stupid iPad!

we started with breakfast an hour after the first breastfeed of the day. So DS woke and fed around 7am then I would do solids at 8am
