Bottles and teeth

I posted on the breast/bottle feeding area but got no response so maybe that was the wrong place to ask.

I was worried that now my DS has 6 front teeth I shouldn't be giving him formula in bottles? Is there a problem with the teats and damage to his teeth?

He drinks water straight from a cup. Should I switch to sippy cups for his formula?

DS is 8mo and still has x5 6oz bottles a day as he is slow to wean!

yes formula in a bottle is fine just now. It is recommended to switch from bottles around 1 year and use cups (lidded free flowing/open cup) instead. Make sure you brush his teeth at night and in the morning.

I think the teeth/bottle issue is more if they're sucking away on a bottle for comfort for prolonged periods during the day or at night as it can cause tooth decay. But fine if just for feeds AFAIK.
