I'd just like to know what type of routine your 7 month olds are in or were. Also I'm struggling to find things DS will eat Confused this is roughly what we do-I'll base it on yesterday.

8am wake up and breastfeed

9am breakfast-porridge

10am nap

10.30/11 wake up yoghurt/fruit (this used to be a breastfeed but he seems to have dropped it)

1pm nap

1.30 lunch (egg and toast)

3pm nap

3.45 wake up. Yoghurt/ fruit snack

6 nap

6.30 wake up

7 dinner

8pm start bath time routine and breastfeed before sleeping.

How does this sound? Is he getting enough sleep/milk/food?

It seems to be a lot of food for a 7 mo Princess. The routine you have seems to more for a 1yo. The nhs recommend offering solids at a maximum of twice a day at this age, moving onto 3 times between 8 and 9 months. If you don't want to reduce the times you offer solids, I'd try to. Offer them about an hour after a bf.

There's a usual guide to bfing and starting solids here that you might find useful Smile

Mine is also 7 months and struggling with a routine. She is one the low end of the weight scale so been told to give her 3 meals a day. Below is what I aim for.

She has 3-4oz of formula at 7 when she gets up. Breakfast is about 7.45 and is usually porridge and toast.

She will then get a bottle between 11-12. This depends on how long she naps for and how much she ate for breakfast.

Lunch is usually about 1-1.5 hours after.

Bottle about 3-4.

Dinner at 5.

Bottle at 6.45 before bed.

Lunch and dinner are mostly finger food as she is not keen on puree though she will get yoghurt at lunchtime if we are at home.

Finger foods include raw and cooked veg, lentil wedges, fruit pieces, pasta and cheese.

She will have 2 naps a day.

Does not seem like a lot of milk. Is he good with finger food?

7:30 wake up and milk

9:00 breakfast (porridge)

11:30ish nap

12:00 lunch (this could be cucumber sticks, toast, bread sticks, fruit, yoghurt etc)

3pm milk and nap

5:30 dinner (cottage pie, pasta, veg... Etc)

7pm milk and bed

She is happy with both spoon and baby led. The one thing I have learnt is all babies are different!! Also she often had to try things a few times before she will happily shove them in!! Her fav is yoghurt, toast with cream cheese and pasta!!

:)
