Am I bad if I change 7 month old to pouches of food ???

I only usually use them when we're out or he's at my mom's but he doesn't seem to like anything I give him but will eat the pouches and jars with ease and the whole portion . I have tried making the same as in the pouches but he just isn't interested .

Lots of babies don't really get eating until nearer 9-10 months. Many 7 month olds (including my first) just ignore or push away food. Its all part of learning about it.

There's nothing wrong with pouch or jar food in moderation but you should keep offering a wide variety of food to play with and don't feel you need to push them to eat any more than they choose to.

Remember milk is still his main source of nutrition for some time yet.

He has been on solids since 16 weeks due to reflux . he has recently started getting better with eating sandwiches , bagels etc . If I give him a jar or pouch of food he is pulling at me to give him more after each mouthful

Mine was the same. The conclusion I reached was that the jar food had a much smoother consistency that he found easier to manage.

It sounds like yours is a bit different though- if he is managing sandwiches and bagels!

In your place, I would probably use jars/pouches for the "puree course" and supplement with finger food. As others have said, he should be getting most of his nutrition from milk in any case.

Mind you, I bloody hated pureeing. I am not a pureer.
