Just wondered if anyone has any advice on how much food for a 7 month old? DS whacks the side of his chair for more and seems a very keen eater and spooner chewer... but how much is too much? I've been told that babies will tell you when they've had enough but nor do I want to over feed. He's on 2 'meals' a day but I'm thinking about increasing to 3.Ta for your tips.

Ds was on 3 meals by the time he was 7 months - and he definitely lets us know when he's had enough. We used to give him and ice-cube tray section (IYKWIM) of meat, one of veg & one of mashed potato or sweet potato for his lunch & dinners and for breakfast we gave him porridge or Cow & Gate porridgey type cereals.
He's a really healthy weight (HV is happy) and loving finger feeding himself as much as he can now (almost 11 months)

hello Iklboo, that's great advice. Ta muchly. I'd been told one cube and thought that was a little on the mean side. (I'd been giving 2 because clearly one wouldn't suffice) Will move him to 3 feeds a day I reckon. He smacks his lips and tries to grab our cereal spoons at breakfast which really should have been hint enough - doh!
By the way what is (IYKWIM)?
