Hi all - me again!
His long does it take for prunes to work though a 6 month old to help her poop?
We've been weaning for 10 days and ages only pooed properly once in that time and they were firm stools. She is breastfed and i think her tummy is struggling :(
We had a bit of poo today but a pea sized amount and it was like play dough - she had prunes and prune water yesterday, and today for breakfast, I was hoping to have seen some action today!?

No idea sorry. How often are you offering solids and what is she eating? Could you just let her have BM for a day or so and no solids?

We tried weaning at 5 months and this happened so we stopped completely and went back to just BReast milk until 6 months and now it's happened again! We were trying BLW but she was getting frustrated that she coukdvt get any food in that I started purées along with the finger foods and she loves it! She has maybe one large ice cube at each meal, sometimes 2 and a lot of water. I've been very careful not to give her any constipation foods!!

I gave my little boy an Ella sachet of prunes with breakfast 2 days running....huge nappy later the second day. If you use cloth nappies I recommend you switch to disposables in anticipation.....

Thank you for the warning!!! I stewed down prunes, dried apricots and pears and she had that for breakfast and again for dinner and LOVED it! so I'm hopeful for some action!!
We've had little nuggets of play dough poo but nothing much and there's a lot of effort from her!

Prunes work up to adulthood. I am on a load of pain drugs and use them instead of taking another drug to combat that problem.
