Ds has been having a mix of homeade purees, 4-6mth jars and 7mth jars but gags quite a lot with them especially the 7mth jars. He does ok with finger foods and has had spagetti hoops and scrambled egg and done ok but i don't really know what else to give him.

Any help appreciated xx

TIA

Make your own purees - they really do taste much better than jar food. Try it yourself and compare...
It'sa good time of year for butternut squash which babies seem to love, also appleand beetroot mixed - really!, and all mine havealso loved redlentils cooked with onion and garlic. Homemade veg soup is good as you can both eat it - just take his out before you season. The gagging isinevitable when you introducetexture, maybe just give foodwith bits oncea day andkeep other meals smooth for now.

I don't want purees for him really. hv has told us to give him what we have, but we're not the healthiest eaters so apart from veg i don't know what else t give him.

Ours ate what we ate when they were babys from 7 or 8 months onwards, do things like basmati rice, pasta with spinach , mixed veg or mild tomato sauce , if your food is spicy (we eat indian style mostly) we mixed in yoghurt to make the sauce mild for them.
