Any idea what has caused Rookiebabies incredible pooing ?

For the past 48 hours ( thankfully during waking hours only) DS has been producing a dirty nappy at least hourly. This has been a cause of some unhappiness in the Rookie household, not least because Rookiemum has single handedly changed all bar two of them.

I'm wondering what could have caused this. He has been trying out food stuff for about 3 weeks now and the only new thing he has had over the last couple of days is Banana. Anyone know if that is well known baby laxative - I thought it was the opposite ? Or any other thoughts on why this has happened so I can try to avoid it in future.

my DS is allergis to banana - it was one of his staple weaning foods 7 he loved it (but his bowels didn't!!!!) apparently it's quite common - seem to remember that someone said that avocado is related to it too(latex(?))

Help, no banana yesterday, but we are on nappy no 5 and he has only been up since 7.00am.

Yesterday he had a wee bit of porridge in the morning, some mango at lunchtime and a mixture of sweet potato, carrot, cauliflower and baby rice at dinner time plus his normal feeds. Are any of these likely to be the culprits.

Or is hourly nappies just an unfortunate side effect of weaning ?
