Coconut for 8mth old?

I've made a Thai curry using a small amount of coconut milk & wondered whether it's OK to give to my 8 mths old? I can't remember whether all nuts & nut products should be avoided or just whole nuts for choking purposes. There's no history of allergies in our family but I don't want to tempt fate & give him something too soon.
TIA

I'm sure it'd be ok (as long as it's not too hot/spicy) maybe just try a little first on some blended rice (without the salt) and see how it goes down

I don't know why but from my food safety days I was always told a coconut is not a true nut, this was from a leading expert on allergies so I just went erm OK and never asked why

Therefore I think coconut milk would be OK from an allergy point of view.

cocoanut is fine for babies.
