Are you giving your toddler Vitamin D?

Just that really... my DS is a year and two weeks and on cows milk now. Having read that children should have vitamin D supplements up to the age of five, I bought an enormously expensive bottle of D-Drops. Is this really necessary? How many of you do it?

Only during the darker months. During the summer DD is outside enough to make her own vitamin D.

I give DS multivitamin syrup which also has iron, as iron supplementation is apparently recommended from 6 months if breastfeeding rather than using formula. Think it's the Wellkid one.
