Freezing purées

Under a paed and dietician for weight gain issues so weaning my 5 month old early with instructions to put butter/full fat milk/full fat yoghurt into any purée possible. So I'm batch cooking and freezing ice cubes.

I'd like to try her with advacado and banana purée as this would be fatty/calorific but can I make a batch of this and freeze cubes as I would with my veg and apple purées? Neither me nor DH are avocado fans so don't want to see go to waste as I can't see baby having a whole one!!!!
Thanks in advance

I dont think either of them freeze well and they do turn black after being exposed to the air for any length of time so wouldnt look very nice either

If you add a squeeze of lemon juice they might not go too brown. You can certainly freeze bananas whole if you want to save half a banana but I always just ate it

Or keep the other half avocado for a crispy bacon sandwich, nom nom nom

I freeze avocado purée. Add defrosted cubes of avocado to half a small banana (fresh) which is easy to mash. I never had any problem with freezing avocado.

It also goes nicely in butternut squash.
