Need to stop breastfeeding, baby not having it.

So my little one is almost 7 months old. She was ebf until 6 months when I started weaning her. She has taken very well to food (for the most part) and now gets 3 small meals a day and has 4 breastfeeds every day. She doesn't usually feed during the night. I have tried giving her breast milk and formula in a bottle, various Cups etc but she just will just not take it, she just screams and cries and acts as though I'm giving her poison. I've tried everything including getting other people to give it to her, leaving the house etc but nothing seems to work. I would happily continue to breastfeed until she weaned herself off it but I am away for 4 nights/days at the end of August and I have to have her taking milk from another source before then. This is something that I can't get out of and I can't take her with me either. I'm just after advice really from others who have had similar issues and how they resolved it. Thanks.

Mine was a touch older but the same situation, dd could take from a sippy cup so dh fed from that and meals.

She was absolutely fine as soon as she settled - wasn't too put out that dh was feeding- however my boobs were exploding and frequently leaked even though I was down to two proper feeds a day.

Keep offering sippy cup of water with meals but I wouldn't stress to much about the feeds, I was told the smell of mum and milk makes them frustrated and they actually cope better when your out of the picture.

That's good to hear, I was planning on pumping and dumping while away so I didn't dry up. She's not particularly interested in the mid morning and mid afternoon feeds and I know she won't go hungry but I hate the thought of my lo and dh having a miserable time at home together because of this.

Definitely pump and dump! Trying to aim breast milk into a water glass was not one of my life's highlights :)
