definitely steamed carrot, also soft fruits like peaches, nectarines, apricots. cucumber is good to, at least for cooling their gums, and rice cakes are handy. also new potatoes, broccoli... loads of things.
good luck. you might notice the time. dd is being a pain in the arse tonight so i am ignoring her in the playpen and i am on mumsnet.

any fruit / veg that's in season and can be cut into wedges / batons. melon is lovely at the moment. my dd loves asparagus and beans. try sugar snaps. basically anything simple initially, although stay away from red things - strawberries, kiwis (not red i know!). initially i kept clear of wheat. first couple of weeks just fruit and veg, then some meat, then wheat and cheese. i had a couple of probs with wheat and cheese so stopped with those.

that's what i've been doing anyway.

Roasted butternut squash, courgette, banana, any veggies you have at home really.

We started off using the baton route, but found disks and chunks of just as good as dd stuffs her fists in too.

And after a few weeks we started putting mashed up stuff on toast.

do I try one thing a day? or offer about three on a plate and let DS choose? thanks

i think i just gave her one thing per day for the first wee while. more because i had loads of carrots, apricots etc to use up than because of allergies, really.
after a week or so i got over-excited and just started offering her bits and bobs off my plate, so all thougth of allergies went out the window.
