Porrige

My 8 month old DD LOVES porrige. Banana porrige to be specific!

I have always given her the Aptamil porrige but as I'm nearing the end of this box I'm wondering if there's any reason why I can't give her 'normal' porrige???

The Aptamil one is SOOOO easy, not that 'normal' porrige isn't but let's just say there's no washing of pans required.

What are your thoughts?

My DD loved porridge when I was weaning her. Normal porridge can be made just as easily in the bowl you are serving it in if you're using a microwave. Because you're making it in small amounts it takes seconds.
The texture will be good for her too.

normal porridge is fine and when you see the price of a huge bag of it you will realise just how much cash the babyfood companies are making out of our insecurities!!!

Normal. It's about 80p for 1kg size. We always just make in a glass jug in microwave. Adults and kids eat the same thing. You can put in fridge overnight to soften oats even more and then just 2-3 mins in microwave. Stir every min

If just making for baby tiny amount even quicker, just put spoon of oats in bowl and add double amount of milk

I use Oats So simple. Splosh of milk, stir, 30 secs in the microwave and done.

You can add anything to porridge!
My DD loved blueberries and apple too :-)
