Could early weaning cheer up a grumpy baby?

DD3 is four months next week and we're considering weaning her before the recommended six months just because she can be really rather miserable quite a lot of the time- and tbh we're at the point of going for anything that'll put a smile on her face.

It's particularly when we're out and about that we struggle. At home I just wang a booby out to shut her up console her.

Is this really terrible? Or has anyone else had a baby whose mood has improved with a little bit of food to distract them?

Dd was a moaner. I weaned at 6 months.

It didnt make a difference, she is still a moaner now at 21 months!

It seems a bit of a random thing to do because she is grumpy. I can't see how there could be a connection between solids and mood. It could be a lot of faff for no benefit.
