6.5 month old weaning woes

So far we are on 2 meals a day, breakfast an hour after first bottle of day and lunch at around 12 which falls between 2nd and 3rd bottle of the day. Couple of things i would appreciate some advice on,
How do people manage the weaning when out? Say if I go out at lunch, what can I do?
I don't freeze anything as we don't have freezer space so I either purée a little bit at the time or give some finger foods but I'm not very inventive as I have to prepare stuff at the time it's usually quite quickly done.

When would I move to 3 meals a day? Is there a sign?

Does weaning cause night waking? How long will that last (not long I hope!)?

Is it best to give solids in place of a bottle or at bottle time or after/before? Just wondering when I would give dinner as we do bottle at 4.30 and bedtime bottle at 6.30
Thanks all! :)

Well, at this early stage of weaning it wouldn't matter if you skipped a meal now and then if you were pressed for time. Also, if you're having lunch in a cafe you could just give bits off your plate to your baby, or take a banana and give that. Lots of people use the pouches of purée in this situation as they don't need to be chilled and can be served at room temp. I always used to have a supply of organix/plum snacks like the corn puffs in my change bag as those would occupy ds whilst I ate lunch.

For moving to 3 meals a day, the NHS says to do this by about 8 to 9 months so don't feel you need to rush to this point. Of course you can still be led by your baby and move to 3 meals earlier if they show an appetite for it.

Weaning may or may not cause disruption to sleep, it's hard to say one way or another. My ds was a bit unsettled for the first couple of weeks but then settled back down again.

I wouldn't drop bottles or give food instead of a bottle at the moment. Give solids about an hour after a bottle. I would only drop a bottle when your baby shows that they aren't that interested in drinking it. Don't try and actively drop bottles.

Ds is 7.5 months and for the past few weeks I've been following roughly the gina ford feeding routine which seems to be suiting him.
He takes 3 x 7oz bottles. He has a bottle when he gets up, then breakfast around half an hour later. Dinner is around 11-11.30, bottle sometime 2-3pm, evening meal around 5 and last bottle at 7 before bed.
Weaning didn't increase his night wakening.
For eating out I bring finger food in a lunch box and some puree. Most places are happy to heat baby food for you. He has water with his meals.

My 6.5 mo old is still massively on milk, but we are blw. He hates a spoon unless there is soe, thing sweet on the end of it.

He is on 6 milk feeds in a 24 hour period snd still wakes at night. Last night was 10pm, 12 pm and 4.45.

I'm so over night feeds too.

Makes no difference how many/ little solids he takes, his nap schedule seems to effect his sleep more.
