Help - my 13month old doesn't like cow's milk!

My 13 months old has been a great feeder and has loved her milk. She went from breastfeeding to bottles with no bother but I've been trying her with cow's milk since she turned 1 and she is not having it. Tried it warm, cold, in a bottle, in a cup and she just spits it out. Someone suggested mixing some petit filous in it since she loves that but she has one sip and that's it. Tried different time of the day and doesn't seem to have much difference. Anyone else experienced this and any suggestions?

Don't blame her. It's vile. I don't touch it either :o

Mix it with her current milk and gradually increase the CM to BM/fm ratio

When I weaned DC1 off the breast and onto cow milk I watered it down and added sugar to make it taste more like breast milk, and then reduced the sugar. To be honest though he didn't really like it as a drink until he was over 2.

They only need about 300ml of cows milk now and that can be in the form of milk on cereal, cheese, yoghurt etc.

Thank guys! Guess I shouldn't worry too much the now - she has it in her porridge or cereal and has plenty of dairy products. Still need to give her formula at bedtime but was hoping to get rid of the steriliser and just have cup of milk but I'll certainly try mixing some cows milk into formula and then increasing!

You don't need to sterilise at a yr

The only way DD will drink cows milk is as a baby chino with a bit of chocolate powder on top.

My HV told me if she's taking formula the bottles need to be sterilised even at a yr +!

Never thought of chocolate powder. Thanks for the suggestion!

What about goat milk?

My older two have never drank cows milk, they always gagged with it and refused to drink it and as I hate it and would be sick if I had to drink it I have never forced them. During the week I make them have weetabix or porridge made with as much milk as I can get away with and yoghurt on top. At the weekend they eat dry cereal but have a couple of yoghurts afterwards. I also try to make them have cheese fairly often.
I spoke to the HV about this and she said the amount of dairy they were having should be fine.
