Lunch ideas for 6.5 month old?

Trying to think of new ideas to give dd for lunch, I have been weaning her for 4 weeks and so far she has just had purees but want to introduce more normal food at lunch time but am a little nervous. Would a sandwich be ok at this age? Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

Have you been doing any BLW? If so then how about some sticks of veg and strips of pitta with humus? You could give cheese, particularly dairylea triangles. What about strips of omlette? I haven't given my DD sandwiches but I can't see why not, it would just depend on how well she deals with proper food.

We have things like hummus, cucumber sticks, cheese on toast, home made quiche, omelettes, fruit salad, etc! HTH Smile

No we haven't been doing blw but like to start doing it partially. Maybe not sandwiches yet then. Like the sound of dairylea triangles and omelette strips thanks.

At 6.5 months my dd was obsessed with anything bread cheese or yoghurt related so

Bread sticks
Toast
Eggy bread
Cheese triangles
Strips of cheese
And if you put dairylea on toast, that would be a gold star lunch !

Ripe Pear, strawberries & banana also went down well

I'm a bit nervous about giving her anything like breadsticks, how did your baby cope with the crunchy texture? Or is it absolutely fine and I'm just worrying over nothing?

She loved them, no teeth but she used to suck then like mad. Now she crunches them in her gums like bugs bunny Grin
