My 7 month old DD has been weaning for just over 5 weeks. She is having 2 meals a day - banana porridge or weetabix for breakfast and generally puréed vegetables for dinner.

I was doing BLW at dinner time but the last week or so she wasn't responding that well to it so thought i'd give her a break for a week or so and then try again.

My query though is what else can I give her other than veg that I can purée? I'm concerned that she's not having enough variety.

Plus whilst I accept her digestive system is getting used to solids and that will in turn have an affect on her bowels, she is generally doing 3 poos a day. Today she did 4!!!

Be grateful for some advice please.

Thanks

You can give meat and fish from that age too.
You can start with a small amount in something she is familiar with, if you use gravy just make sure its baby gravy for the low salt.

What about pulses eg lentil dhal or similar? Or hummus? Depends how smooth a purée you need I suppose, but if she's used to finger foods then a slightly textured purée would presumably be ok.

Also hardboiled egg yolks.

The main nutrient babies need at that age from solids that breastmilk is unlikely to provide in sufficient quantity is iron. You can puree chicken (darker meat like drumsticks is better) or fish as mentioned above and mix it with the veggie puree if you want.
