Is this too much?

Started solids 2 weeks ago, and after a few days of making faces and spitting everything out DS now really loves his food. To a point when I'm worried he's eating too much...

I've introduced lunch first, and decided to add breakfast from this week. So I've made myself some oatmeal porridge for breakfast. I've put away about 4 tbsps for DS. And he ate all of it. I've transferred some more from my bowl into his and he ate that too. I just kept adding and he kept opening his mouth for more, and in the end he ate most of my porridge! I think I ate the baby and he ate my adult portion, or near that (ok, my portions are not that big, but it was half a cup of oat flakes!)

When he first ate his solids instead of spitting it all out it was avocado and banana and he ate 1/4 of avocado and about half a banana which also seemed a lot. But then next time he had it it was almost the whole of avocado and whole banana! He seemed ok...

He's a small 2nd centile baby... He had solids about an hour after bf.
Anyone else had similar experience? Is this normal?

Yes me! My Ds loved food from day one I would say go with it but perhaps introduce more finger foods eg my Ds has a normal size bowl (about four tablespoons) of ready break/ weetabix when he has finished I will give him melon fingers or toast or something similar. If I didn't he would easily eat three bowls of cereal if I feed him he just keeps opening his mouth, but if he does it he eats a bit less.
I would be lead by him though within 2 weeks my Ds was having three meals a day and his milk too. I used the fact he is so enthusiastic about food to introduce as lots of different foods and he is brilliant at eating now he will literally eat anything!! :)
