she has started spoon refusing but doesn't seem to grasp the feeding herself idea either. anyone got any tips on how to help her?

How old is she and how long have you been weaning? Have you always given finger foods alongside spoon feeding?

(Sorry for all the questions!)

She's 6 months and I always offered finger food with puree. been weaning for a few weeks. she loved the spoon until today though. never really shown an interest in the finger foods though

The only thing to do really is to keep offering as normal (spoon and finger food), and she'll get back into it soon.

It could be related to teething, maybe coming down with a cold or similar. It early days yet, and there are always going to be ups and downs with weaning.
