Digestive issues?

Anyone's experienced digestive issues with baby when weaning? Dd is almost 6 months and for the last few days have started weaning her just with a bit of fruit and veg. She was doing fine for a couple of days then had a day of constipation followed by a day of diarrhoea. Now she seems fine but is having an increased amount of dirty nappies. Is this a sign she isn't ready yet? Shes also teething could this be related? Just waiting for callback from hv so any advice in meantime will be helpful. Please don't slate me for weaning early it was only by a week or so she was already showing all the signs she was ready and I already feel awful Sad

See what your HV days but we went from once a day to 1-2 times a week when we first started, even though it was blw and very little was getting in. Now he's back to his regular once a day schedule, albeit with different things in the nappy every time! Lots if my mum friends have had weird and wonderful poos to deal with when they started weaning so I wouldn't worry too much.

I think it's fairly normal for a babies bowel motions to change once you start weaning. Also normal to see bits of food in the poo....tomato gives ds s poo a nice orange tint. Teething can result in runny poo's.

Thanks for comments! Hv confirmed that it all sounds normal and to persevere Smile

Agree with other posters that it's normal, but wanted to say don't feel guilty for starting a week early! 6 months is just a guideline.
