Daughter will only eat bread and fruit

My daughter has just turned 9 months old and has been a struggle to wean from day 1. I started with a mixture of traditional purees and finger foods but she completely refused to be spoon fed anything except fruit purée and yoghurt so I abandoned purees about a month ago and am now doing exclusively blw. I have offered her so many different types of food and I eat the same meals with her, but she still won't even try a lot of things. She likes bread and fruit and doesn't really want anything else. Most things on her tray just get poked, squished and then chucked on the floor. Is this all normal or should I be worried that she is going to grow up to be a ridiculously fussy eater?

Don't be worried no. Some babies just don't get proper food for a while.

Do you offer bread and fruit with every meal? What do you do if she refuses her meal?

I don't offer bread with every meal but I do offer fruit as a dessert at most meals. Should I stop doing that in the hope that she will eat more if she doesn't expect the fruit at the end?

You could always give it a try Smile
