my 8 month old has been eating mainly the 4-6 month organics jars since i started weaning, but i am struggling to get her to eat lumpy food.ive tried her with home made food and 7 month+ jar food but she just gags on the lumps and ends up being sick.I'd rather not give her jars any more it was just to see if she would eat something lumpy.she will eat finger foods, such as toast, cheese etc no problem even though she has no teeth yet so i dont understand what the problem is.can anyone advise?
ps it doesnt make any difference how big or small the lumps are?!

Hi for what its worth, my ds nearly 9 months gags on the 7mth jars too. I started offering him finger foods, which goes down a treat, I still feed him the occational jar (mainly to get some red meat in him), I'm fairly new to this site, but luckily for me I read a thread where some other mums said their babies skipped the lumpy food straight onto finger foods, so I don't feel so bad now. If you go through the archive, you might want to read up on BLW (baby led weaning) it gives some advise. Also one of the mums known as "Aitch" has a webblog as she has started BLW it is called www.babyledweaning.com have a look, you'll get loads of advise.
