Pellet like poos

Hi, my 7 month old has had pellet like poos for about 2 weeks now. Is it a cause for concern? She doesn't seem to be in pain but spends lots of time pushing. She drinks about 3 little beakers of water a day and is still on 4 x 20 -30 mins breast feeds. She likes prunes but they haven't helped any. Any ideas how I can solve the problem. Any foods I should avoid?
Thanks for any help

I would add more fluids if you can, especially water as pellet size poos is a sign of constipation
and also in the warm weather
also bananas can cause constipation
as long as your dd is not in any distress, i would just keep my eye on it

three beakers of water sounds like an impressive amount to me, my 8-month-old doesn't drink a beakerful in total all day.
i'd certainly mention it to your HV, just because a friend of mine's wee girl used to suffer from constipation as a baby (not that your daughter is, technically) and developed a bit of a poo phobia as a result. But what your HV could suggest i don't know...
Definitely cut out bananas, like Desperate says, and sometimes when i think my dd hasn't gone in a while i do some infant massage moves on her tummy and roll her legs around in a circle (legs together) with the baby on her back.
Perhaps the hot weather has made it worse, so fingers crossed her poo will loosen up now that the skies are once again grey...

when ds started solids i found if he had too many rice cakes he got bunged up & had very hard poos so I made sure he didnt have more than one every few days & that did the trick

Apricot is another good food for constipation
