Started weaning my 6 month about two weeks ago on homemade purées took to it really well so we progressed to meals which I didn't purée quite so much and last night he had orzo ( the one shaped like grains of rice) pasta with homemade tomato sauce so all in all doing ok.
This morning he managed to get his hands on his older sisters peanut butter on toast I found him sucking on it and took it off him because I was worried about choking, he has had no finger food yet should I start giving him some if so what? The hv said 7 months but if I was doing blw it would be now wouldn't it or have I got that wrong?

Yep you're right, toast is fine from 6 months, as you would if doing BLW.
