DD is doing brilliantly with assorted fruit, vegetables, toast, oat pancakes. It's time to introduce protein but I have a mental block on what to introduce and how to prepare it. Please inspire me with your meat and fish hits; she's 6.5 mo.

DS - 8mo loves meatballs, home made are just the right size for little hands. Lamb, mint and grated onion ones are good dipped in hummus.

From memory, things that went down well in the early weeks were strips of roasted meat (especially pork; he couldn't fully eat it but loved chewing and sucking on it), homemade chicken goujons and slow cooked chunks of meat.

Peanut butter, esp if she likes toast.

Mine never liked meat, how about hummus and toast or pitta strips, you could also make a sort of lentil pate and spread that on toast. Cheese?

Quorn chicken pieces?

I make thick carrot and lentil soup for loaded spoons/ toast fingers

Any thick soupy/ casserole type thing in a similar fashion.
