White or brown bread for babies?

I know white bread is generally the unhealthy option but just wonder if brown bread is too 'wheaty'? I bake my own (and freeze slices for toast) but also use shop bought occasionally.

There is some thought that brown bread has to much fibre for little tummies. I hate white bread though so we compromised on the 50/50 stuff when they were small.

White bread/rice/pasta is easier for babies and toddlers to digest - too much fibre can interfere with them absorbing minerals, calcium, iron etc.

Thanks :)
