Hi,

DS just 8 months. Have some cod in freezer (cod fillet) want to defrost a piece for his tea but not sure what to do with it. Any ideas pls? Have gone through my AK book but most with cheese - DS only eats goats cheese, any suggestions of what i can do with the cod - what i can mix it with etc.

Thank you

Veggies and white sauce? Just put whatever you would normally have with cod (minus any salt etc) and give him that.

Cod in a white, butter or parsley suace with some veggies and maybe some mash might be nice. Check the fish for bones though as our fillets the other day still had bones in.

A tomatoey based sauce goes nice with cod too - put some courgettes, mushrooms, sweetcorn & broccoli florets in a saucepan. Add 1/2 a can chopped tomoatoes or about 3 skinned & chopped 'real' ones. Add 1/2 cup of water & simmer until veg is softened. Blitz in a blender till it's the consistency your DS is used to & serve with the cod
