11 m old still refuses to eat most of the time

Started weaning at 6m and although Ds didn't eat much, he was always keen to have something. He has eaten less and less since about 8m and now often has no food at all for days. He is bf, but restricting his feeds for a few hrs before meal times hasn't improved things at all.

Distraction used to work, but not any more. He doesn't even eat puddings or biscuits.

Any ideas for getting him to eat welcome.

I'm a little reluctant to suggest this, as it often seems to be thrown out as a 'cause of everything', but have you noticed he has any difficulties with/reactions to certain food groups?

The reason I ask is - DD2 had an un diagnosed dairy allergy for a few months. The amounts of dairy she was getting were minuscule (small amounts in baby rice) but it was enough to give her bad stomach issues. We only realised the allergy the first time she was given cheese and she reacted strongly.

It was only once we eliminated all dairy that her appetite began to increase and she began to take any kind of interest in food. We reckon she was beginning to associate eating with pain and so was reluctant to eat.

We haven't given him any dairy yet due to intolerance in the family and I haven't noticed anything else.

Thank you for the suggestion though.
