I know a few months down the line I may well look back and wonder why I was so confused... but right now, how the heck I fit in my baby's learning to eat into the day?! First time round I didn't have an older child to see to, and he was quite a happy baby- would really appreciate your tips!

Baby is 25 weeks and we'll be going down the BLW route again. Right now our day is:

Somewhere between 6-7am ish breastfeed while I have breakfast (she takes a sodding hour)

8am I get myself showered and ready for the day

8:30 until 9:15 school run, she naps some point during for about 45 mins

10-10:30ish breastfeed (another sodding hour) and a top and tail/bath

11:30-12:30ish nap for 2-2 and 1/2 hours. I either nap myself or do housewife stuff if at home or we're out in the buggy

2-2:30ish another soddin long feed (have to chuck her off if it leaves us late for school)

3 until 4 school run, sometimes she naps, sometimes not

5ish, feed, how long depends how well she fed before school run

After a bit of a play, if she's in a good mood and OH is home early enough for us to sit and have dinner as a family, she'll sit in the kitchen with us. If not, I hold her or attempt distraction while she screams until it's time to go up for a wash/bath and feed 5:15-6ish, in bed for somewhere between 6:30-8 depending on how long she takes to sodding feed and whether or not she's made it without the screaming. She wakes once in the night for a feed too, sometimes twice if she especially hates me that day. At the moment she doesn't seem able to stay awake much longer than 2 and a half hours without getting fractious. Help! Where do I even begin?

Try not to stress about it too much. At this stage you don't have to give food more than once a day and not even every day.

There's no need to rush, the nhs don't recommend moving to 3 meals until they are at least 8 months, which is a while off yet Smile

Could you offer the 10is feed a little earlier and try her with a bit of lunch before her nap or just give her a little food to play with while you all eat tea?

kellymom has some good info on bfing and starting solids.

At the moment is she's not interested in feeding much before 10 but you're right there does seem to be a small window there if i'm quick enough! 5 o clock ish she is mainly just grumpy.. hopefully she'll grow out of it... Thanks for replying and your pointers, will have a look there now.
