Spiriting food out at 15 months

Not really a weaning question but not sure where else to post this.
Ds is 15 months and weaned on to solids brilliantly starting at 6 months folliwing BLW and until recently would eat and enjoy nearly all foods - happy days.
In the last few weeks he has been refusing all sorts of foods, throwing it all on the floor, spitting it out. I thought maybe he's teething but he's never stopped eating normally before. Any ideas?

Totally normal from 12 months onwards! They become more independent from this age and like to assert themselves through their eating habits, and also they become naturally suspicious of different foods. Just keep offering. DD is the same age and chops and changes what she likes all the time now.

If you have a search on mumsnet about this it is when you realise that neither BLW or traditional weaning actually makes any difference to fussiness further down the line!

My dd went through a phase of doing this.

It seemed to be she was spitting it out when she wasnt hungry.
If she is hungry, then she doesnt spit it out.
