Hi Ladies/Gentlemen,

I just wondered what you all think of Ellas Kitchen products - have you ever used them, if so why and if not why not?

All opinions welcome... Smile

My DD aged 14 occasionally asks for one of the fruit pouches ... Does she count? Didn't have them as a baby, just mushed up whatever we had.

snigger, I think people are less than honest on MN

I used them a lot between 5-7 months and then DD didn't want them! I absolutely them and think they are a life saver Smile

Btw I've only tried fruit ones.

no im not employed by Ella's, just noticed they are now selling direct from their website and thought i would see what the opinion is on them as ive never used their products before.

Seems to be a mixed opinion...

I used them for week when super busy. I'm now back to homemade and baby is turning his nose up I have to shove it in. I personally, thought they tasted nothing like the veg they were supposed to be and very very smooth compared to homemade. They were very acidy, homemade purées really taste like what they are.

I use pouches when we are out or when I have no food in or when I just can't be bothered. If I am out, how am I supposed to heat up a portion of my lovingly home cooked food?! Much easier to have a pouch in hot water that doesn't matter if it only ends up tepid.

I prefer Plum and Boots own though, the combinations just sound a bit more realistic rather than 'shove this fruit in to make it sweeter'

I only buy them on offer too!

My daughter used to LOVE the cheesy pie one... i used to call her cheesy pie... then she grew out of it but is still a cheese fiend...

the yogurts are too runny, prefered stuff with more consistency to them like fromage frais

I don't mind admitting I use them a lot, ds doesn't mind them and they are better than some other brands. I am a busy mum of 2 and don't have the time to have every meal lovingly home cooked and pureed. They are very useful when out and about or when I don't have access to kitchen facilities.
