Little girl is nearly 14 months. We've tried with a toddler cup from the age of 6 months but never been interested. Tried with alsorts of juices milk etc but no way will she drink out of it. She had bad acid reflux and had been on aptamil comfort till she was 8 months after several attempts she finally went onto 6 months aptamil now she's on 1-2years aptamil. She will drink cows milk but can she just come off formula and go on to cows milk. Also she has never been able to tolerate lumpy baby food. She'll chew and sometimes eat our food (veg, meat etc) but most of not all ends up on the floor so she's not anything. She only onto 7month baby food at 12 months and the only one she'll eat is ellas kitchen as it's textured and not lumpy. If I gave her a 7month jar with lumps she'd have and be sick. If I don't give baby food she's not eating anything! Advice please
Thanks

Yes you can just give her full fat cows milk, she should be on a minimum of 300 mls per day, and that can include milk used in cooking, like custard, ready brek etc. how much milk is she one now?

Somw people like to mix the two at first though until they are used to it. So if she's having 200 ml of toddler milk in one go, give her about 170 mls of toddler milk mixed with 30 mls of cows milk and once she's used to it, keep upping the quantity of cows milk and reducing the quantity of formula be 30mls at a time.

My DS was very reluctant to eat lumps too. How is she with finger foods? Has she ever been checked for tongue tie? This was the problem with our DS.

She will drink cows milk no problems, it's just getting her to drink it out of a cup. She currently has a bottle of formula in the morning and a bottle of formula at night then a one sometimes two bottles of cows milk in between. This morning though i just gave her cows milk and she's been fine. Just wondered if we could cut out formula altogether. And does it matter if she won't drink out of a beaker.

She'll eat finger foods but most of it ends up on the floor then will eat baby food!

Yes you can just swap to cows milk, the nhs recommend it from 12 months anyway.

They also recommend ditching the bottles at 12 months too Smile
