Switching to cows milk

Hi, my ds is fast approaching one and is having 3 bottles of formula a day. How do you make the switch to cows milk?

Has he been having cows milk in cooking and on cereal? If so, I would just swop when you come to the end of a box of formula.

We just swapped. DD took cows milk straight from the fridge. She still likes her final milk before bed heated up.

I've heard a few options; swap one bottle a day for a week or reduce the amount of formula and top up with cows milk in each bottle eg 6oz formula would become 5oz formula and 1oz cows milk then change the quantities slowly iyswim?
I've friends who's dc had constipation after a straight swap so I'd be tempted to do it slowly.

I just swapped. One random day, ditched bottles, gave DDs cups and organic whole milk. They loved it!
It was so liberating not to have bottles to wash.

I tried a straight swap but DD refused the cows milk. So as I came to the end if the box I made less formula and topped up with cows milk until it was all cows milk. It worked and she loves her milk. Still heat it now at19 months though obits just how she likes it.

Thanks all. Is it ok to mix formula milk and cows milk within a bottle and do you need to wait until 1 year or as he has only a couple of weeks left could we start the switch gradually now? Am looking forward to putting my steriliser away!

Yep absolutely fine. Just make sure your formula powder & water ratio stays correct.

I'm half way through a Tub of formula so might start topping up with cows milk now and see how it gross
