Hi all,

My son has taken to weaning with flying colours, has his mouth open ready and seems to really enjoy the food I cook (use Annabel karmel iPad app). I just have a few questions,

Snack foods what can I give him that's healthy and easy to eat? as he has no teeth although been teething for a while.

Also I am starting to introduce a meal at dinner time, should I reduce a bottle? He has 3x 7oz and 1x 8oz before bed.
Thanks x

How old is he Rach? If you've only just started weaning it might be a bit early for snacks. Most people keep the milk quantity the same as before weaning then gradually introduce solids one meal at a time.

We took DD's lead and always offered food an hour after a bottle. She didn't reduce milk until 8 months but steadily dropped from 42 ounces after that.

He is 6 months. Got advised to wean early (17 weeks)as doubled his birth weight and lost tongue thrust ect. So have been weaning for 10 weeks.

I was thinking of snacks for when he is around 30 weeks at the moment he is very happy with what he is getting. I just like to plan for the future :)

I'm quite nervous about dropping a feed as he is so contended. Glad I don't have to do it until he is ready.
