Seeds

Might be a silly question... but can a nearly 1 yr old have seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, poppy, sesame etc)? Are they an allergy risk? (I'm allergic to nuts but am fine with seeds).

Also, the honey thing, can he have honey now? is it quite safe?

I don't know the official advice on nuts and seeds but I do know a friend's 13mth old baby was blue-lighted to hospital a couple of weeks ago after eating a piece of granary bread. He had a seed wedged across his throat.

It eventually dislodged itself, they though by saliva softening the seed and allowing it to flex enough so he could swallow it. It took quite a long time though, nearly an hour which would of course be fatal if his throat had been totally blocked. Everyone had quite a fright, poor things.
