Healthy snacks

DD2 has had a warning from the dentist. No sweets... That is easy....other people give us sweets. Also reduce cakes and biscuits.....she is a bit of snacker so would like suggestions for more healthy snacks. Not just fruit but something more substantial as she is often very hungry when coming in from school.
Thanks !

My DS is much younger but we make low sugar banana muffins, allrecipes.co.uk/recipe/36/delicious-banana-muffins.aspx (I use half the amount of sugar.) How about a smoothie or mashed banana on toast? Breadsticks or pitta bread and hummus. Natural yoghurt and fruit. Small bowl of porridge with fruit.

Savoury muffins freeze well or how about oatcakes with nut butter, crumpets with butter, or carrots/peppers/celery with Philly?

DS1 loves carrot, celery and red pepper batons. Sugar snap peas and edamame also faves. Cheese or a drink of full fat milk are filling and better for teeth too. Plain unsalted Kallo rice cakes. Tomatoes.

He's had a lot of chocs and sugary snacks lately so a good reminder for myself.

One last one - eggs! Cold hard boiled or omelette both good fridge stand bys.
