water and reflux

Hi there,
My 6 mo DS has pretty bad silent reflux, under control with ranitidine and anti reflux formula (he is now totally formula fed). I am starting to introduce him to some solids. he's not wild about it, but i am persisting. Have tried some carrot and apple (BLW), neither of which has had a reflux reaction. My problem is water- i have tried a few times to give him some water in a bottle which he happily starts to drink, but a few seconds later his reflux kicks in and he is soon writhing around and screaming. Has anyone else experienced this or know anything about it? Didn't really see any similar stories in my internet research. Am getting worried as he will need water as we continue with solids.
Thanks all!

No sorry Jess. The only thing I can suggest is trying a sippy cup instead of the bottle. Has he been checked for tongue tie too?

Hopefully someone who knows more will be along soon...Xmas Smile

Thanks JingleJohnsJulie. He had a tongue tie snipped when he was a few weeks old.

Might be worth getting it rechecked, sometimes they can reattach I believe.
